Modern Youth
|
The purpose of the Modern Youth Radio Program is to help build self-reliance, equity,
positive morals, and a peaceful environment for the youth of modern
Cambodian Society.
Our mission is to encourage youth
participation in society building through the sharing of ideas and
information and to support initiatives that promote the human rights. We
want to eliminate inappropriate societal behaviors and enable other
institutions to provide support.
Our goal is to improve society
by imparting a sense of responsibility, positive morals, and an
understanding of life to the youth of Cambodia.

This program reflects on different forms of expression demonstrated through hair dying and hairstyles among modern youth in Cambodia.

Discussing the influence of fashion from other countries, modesty, provocative clothing, what is good and bad, and how old and new fashions are combined.

Modern Education (4.4MB mp3)
Examining the differences between the Cambodian educational system of the past and the current educational system, and identifying what opportunities are now available to students, that were not previously available, and the differences between students in rural areas and city youth.

Modern Relationship (4.4MB mp3)
Talking about the influence of mass media upon young people with regards to relationships, and examining the differences between old and new ways of selecting a partner for marriage.

Modern Entertainment (4.4MB mp3)
Examining how entertainment and recreation have changed in modern times, and the negative and positive impacts on Cambodian society. People shared experiences from their holidays and discussed how recreation can reduce stress.

Discussing the conservation of traditional music, the expansion of modern music, and the influence of outside music such as Pop and Hip-Hop.
