Materialist values vs. Christian values

Individualism? Capitalism?

Materialist Values
1. The most important is the profit (money), for the benefit of a few people.
2. Aggressive individualism for selfish grandiosity.
3. Using / manipulating / exploiting / crushing the human person.
4. Ruthless exploitation of limited natural resource for profit and selfish ends.
5. Neck-break, cut throat, crude competition.
6. Aggressivity and injustice
7. What really matters is the quantity, not the quality of people.
8. Consumerism.
9. Hedonism, search for pleasure and “good-life”
10. In short, closure on oneself (EGOISM).

Christian Values
1. The most important is the dignity of the human person.
2. To live in community with concern and love for others.
3. To respect the human person dignity and rights, promoting integral human development and justice.
4. Social responsibility towards the ecosystem resources, looking for environmental balance and cosmic harmony.
5. Harmonious cooperation mong people.
6. Love, self-giving and sharing.
7. What really matters is the quality and people’s inner values.
8. Fulfilling of human needs making good use of materiall things and money.
9. Asceticism and renunciation.
10. Openness to others and to the Supreme Ultimate Transcendent reality: God
